TESTIMONIALS

"It took me over 18 months to get pregnant with each of my first 2 children.  I had heard that reflexology could aid fertility so I began having reflexology with Helen after she came highly recommended to me through a friend.
I became pregnant within 3 months of trying for a baby and having reflexology.  I enjoyed Helen’s treatments so much I carried on having reflexology throughout my pregnancy – I found it deeply relaxing and it also helped ease my restless leg syndrome and insomnia.  I now have reflexology every week.  It is always without doubt the highlight of my Tuesday and I always feel thoroughly pampered and relaxed during and after each treatment.  I know I’m also ensured my best night’s sleep of the week.  I can’t recommend Helen highly enough."

"My initial reason for visiting Helen was chronic sinusitis which had not responded to antibiotics or steam inhalations.  After just one session it was much improved and by the third session it had gone completely.  I also find that in general I have noticed an increase in my energy levels and a decrease in my stress levels.
Helen is very welcoming and professional and makes each treatment a very relaxing experience. I have recommended Helen to friends and colleagues and everyone has been as impressed with her and her treatments as I am."

Reflexology

Reflexology is a non invasive, pressure massage to the feet. The reflex points in each foot correspond to all major organs, glands and systems within the body.

Helen is able to locate areas of stress or congestion within the bodily systems and stimulate the associated reflex points. This brings about a state of deep relaxation, helps disperse blockages, eliminate waste and restore the body’s own natural healing power.

Reflexology can help with a wide range of conditions including:
  • Stress and stress related conditions
  • Insomnia
  • Fertility issues (more details)
  • Digestive disorders
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Anxiety / depression
  • Asthma
  • Injury / recovery
  • Pregnancy management (more details)
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Sinus problems
  • Migraines
  • Eczema
  • Constipation
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Arthritis
  • Back / neck / shoulder pain / problems

The additional benefits each reflexology session brings are:
  • Improved circulation - ensuring hormones reach their target destination
  • Stimulation of the lymphatic system - causing the body to eliminate toxins and waste
  • Deep relaxation
  • Boosting of energy and improvement of general wellbeing
  • Strengthening of the immune system

Maternity Reflexology

One of Helen specialities is maternity reflexology. It is a safe, relaxing therapy that has great success treating women pre-conceptually, throughout pregnancy, and during the postnatal period.

Aiding Fertility

Reflexology induces deep relaxation and reduces stress levels – this has a positive effect on the endocrine system (and all the other bodily systems) and helps to regulate hormonal imbalances. This in turn can help with problematic menstrual cycles (irregularity), endometriosis and polycystic ovaries. Conception is likely to occur when the body is in its most relaxed, balanced state.

Maternity ReflexologyDuring Pregnancy

Reflexology is a safe and effective treatment during pregnancy. It brings relief from many of the aches and pains associated with pregnancy. However it is not recommended during the first trimester or if there is a history of unstable pregnancies, premature labour, severe hypertension, placenta previa or recent vaginal bleeding.

Reflexology may help with the following conditions:
  • back ache
  • headaches
  • sciatica
  • restless arm / leg syndrome
  • oedema (water retention)
  • insomnia
  • constipation
  • heartburn and acid reflux
  • stress and anxiety
  • increased energy levels
  • hormonal imbalances
  • mood swings
  • nausea and vomiting
  • symphysis pubis dysfunction
  • turning a breech baby

Inducing Labour

Reflexology may be used to try and induce labour in the 41st week of pregnancy. Helen will use powerful techniques to stimulate the endocrine system and uterus to encourage the birthing process to start.

Postnatal Reflexology

Reflexology treatments after the birth will help the body relax and regain equilibrium. It may also help with the following conditions:

Reflexology aids healing to the whole body – it treats the root of the problem and not just the prevailing symptoms. Reflexology is not a substitute for medical or obstetric care. If you have any concerns please seek medical advice as soon as possible. Reflexology does not claim to diagnose, cure or prescribe.
